This overachiever has high hopes for a bright future and has the determination to make it happen Kimberly was born in the U.S. but her family moved to Mexico when she was seven years old. She came back to the U.S. at age 16 to finish high
school and live with family friends. The arrangement was not ideal and Kimberly learned about Eagle Academy where she could attend school and work. She began working full-time at age 16 to support herself while attending Eagle Academy and simultaneously taking classes at Highlands Ranch High School and online in order to graduate early. Kimberly finished 4 years of high school in 2.5 years, while also re-learning English.
She volunteered while in high school at “Night to Shine,” which is a program for people with special needs. Kimberly earned an honor for exceeding her required high school community service hours by 150 hours. She then volunteered for “Wreaths Across America”, where she placed Christmas wreaths on veterans’ grave sites at Fort Logan cemetery.
Kimberly graduated from Eagle Academy in January of 2020 and enrolled at Arapahoe Community College (ACC) for the fall of 2020 to earn a degree in Business Administration and Human Resources.
